Moonstream Reputation revolves around

1. Badges - What is the holder’s current level of reputation in the community?
2. Experience - Awarded for service to the community. Allows members to upgrade badges.

Communities can define a reputation tree. One of our inspirations is Diablo 2 skill trees (reference):

Badges and experience are implemented as Terminus tokens. ****Terminus is a smart contract standard, based on the EIP1155 standard, which is well-suited to DAO and gaming use cases. It is currently being used by:

1. Games, to represent items in their game economy. e.g. Crypto Unicorns Items Marketplace.
2. Moonstream DAO, to represent access control to our APIs and smart contracts.

Terminus contracts have been live on Polygon mainnet since January 2022, and have supported over 200,000 on-chain interactions.

Badges are non-transferable Terminus tokens.

Experience can be either transferable or non-transferable Terminus tokens, depending on the needs of the community.

The reputation tree makes use of Crafting Recipes, which is a general purpose on-chain crafting system.
