Moonstream’s research operations imply continuous monitoring of events and sentiments within different projects’ communities. We also believe that this information can be valuable to the communities themselves - it will bring more transparency and help people make better-informed decisions.

The discovery process resulted in specific functional elements that should be inherent to a functionality answering to the aforementioned ideas. We decided that its core element would be calendar-like, so it’s now referred to as Calendar.

Functional elements

  1. A calendar-like interface

The essence of the Calendar is event and trend tracking. It can well be done in the form of a calendar allowing to categorize entries.

There are three basic types of entries:

The interface should allow to differentiate between these three types of entries both from a viewer and an entrant perspective.

To illustrate, a Google calendar interface allow you to switch on other people’s calendars:

  1. Forum

We expect that the overwhelming share of value lies within the third type of entries that might include insights/analytics/predictions/speculations/etc. It’s important that these entries aren’t unified in format. Instead, this part can look like a forum:
